To confirm the video was a deepfake, we found video of the same press conference, then compared the position of flags, microphones, and other details in relation to each other, and then identified sections of the video where the movements of the speaker and audience synced up.

I’m kind of hoping India and Pakistan cool it when they realize they can’t count on the U.S, the way siblings might stop squabbling when they realize dad’s on a meth binge again.
As Gabriel Byrne says in Miller's Crossing: “I'd worry a lot less if I thought you were worrying enough.”
We must hope that the administration is worrying enough about #India and #Pakistan, and can find the competence to help deescalate the situation.
