One of the scrapped elements of this game was apparently Flare were gonna be aliens. The AZ villain thing I believe got farther enough in development that when they scrapped it it left the story in shambles, but design wise...I mean they got this vibe so I buy that

-regarding the Pokedex and what turned out to be Eternatus (the evilest Pokemon who ever lived ever, he's like 300 kajillion feet long and can corrupt like all Pokemon, he's stronger than Shadow the Hedgehog and Vegeta) its easy to tell when a plot was rewritten

If I do SWSH, I'm gonna comment on something I've seen NO ONE talk about these days when it comes to the game (among other things) and that was seemingly the original plot that leaked. So much of XY and SWSH's plots feel like heavy meddling happened and with Teraleak 2 confirming something-

Right, so, he was originally slated to be the villain of the game according to Teraleak 1. I never read the XY chapter of the manga but secondhand accounts seem to indicate that it was far enough into development that he's a villain in the manga.

I like the lore behind AZ more than AZ himself if that makes sense (granted, still haven't played ZA yet)

Also notice how there's more lore with his Floette and Zygarde these days, that deer and bird never stood a chance

Ironically enough despite the vast regional dex, a lot of the notable trainers lack a proper identity to themselves outside their maybe one Kalos original Pokemon

Like watching the Emma fight in ZA where she only has Malamar as her lone Kalos rep highlights how banking on the old the way-

You can really see what Blaze is like whenever she doesn't have to lug Silver around. Her own goddamn dimension, her own Tails, Eggman, emerald, and kingdom.

The second that pothead shows up he just brings her down it's so bleak.
