A recreation of an art piece by Jack Hughes, using my xiv oc, Lina, and dev's xiv oc, Oscar. Both are dressed in black formal wear, with Lina having bright red gloves on and Oscar with a pinkish ascot. Oscar holds on to Lina's waist, who is drapped back dramatically, chest up, one arm hanging down and the other with her hand to her breast. A red arrow with a heart for the fletching pierces Lina's chest, red liquid pouring down her side and dripping. Oscar is masked, his eyes covered, with red tears flowing down his cheek. A red wedding ring is on his hand. The caption reads "ubi amor, ibi dolor, latin for "where there is love, there is pain." Despite their love for one another, there is always a price, and that is enduring emotional turmoil that comes with loving one another, particularly in the early moments of their will-they-won't-they relationship. Even though there is pain, their love remains, and they power through, though in the moment, it is sharp like an arrow through the heart.
