The only unsolved murder in my town happened in my house (my bedroom to be specific). My house is haunted as a result. A woman was murdered in her sleep, possibly by her estranged husband.

Her comment I posted was in a thread where she was talking about how she hates the left now because we think that trans care is health care and is therefore a human right. She seems to prefer where she can pay for her care and the rest of us are out in the cold.

Under communism we'd all have access to the same care. Capitalism just ensures that it is gatekept and only accessible to the wealthiest. Which, among trans people, is very very few

Ceding the idea that trans health care is a privilege and not a human right makes any argument we make in favor of our rights impossible to win. Trans care is health care, health care is a human right

Trans women's vaginas are not "designer". They are part of our bodies.

Health care is a human right. This is not a controversial stance. The fact that our country doesn't think so is just another blow against Ari's stance that we have it so great here.

This is exactly the root of my problem with Ari who seems to think that all us trans people are upper middle class and have access to amazing health care and should therefore love capitalism and stop whining. Not everyone is a conventionally attractive, hyper privileged woman like she is.

I appreciate that you have a nice personal relationship with her but the way she talks about those of us that are FAR less privileged than she is and her apparent deep love for capitalism leave a gross taste in my mouth.

She should learn to be nice to the most vulnerable of our community, then. I realize that she has access to great health care and she thinks everyone else does too but we are not all as lucky as she is. I respected her for a long time but punching down on the vulnerable is super uncool.
