Thanks to the woman somewhere outside of Warsaw who stopped everything & helped me figure out how to open the gas tank on my rental vehicle, including looking up a YouTube vid. Women helping women is my favorite genre. #polandadventure

What you gotta love about @boomboomhiller.bsky.social is that he will explain to you what an Eataly is, but when it comes to scat and piss queens, you are on your own.
Amazing read. 📚💙

After seeing the news coverage of yesterday’s protests, I take back what I said last night. The best thing about #nokingsmke was exercising our right to peaceful assembly.

The best thing about #nokingsmke was seeing pride flags, US flags, and Palestine flags side by side w/ signs like “no one is illegal on stolen land”, Anne Frank quotes, “ICE belongs in horchata”, etc held by the young and old from all walks of life. We are more united than they want us to believe!

Fantasy authors: can we PLEASE get glossaries? Your world building is glorious and I’m trying to be there with you but if you are going to have your own language and I can’t figure it out from context, then what’s the point? #booksky

Seen today. Put off by the $12.99 price tag. In this economy? I’ll free hand my own cat farts.

Tonight, instead of eating the full pint of Ben & Jerry’s, I put a serving in a bowl and put the rest back. The self-righteousness is at Uncle Baby Billy levels.

Here is the top comment on this article: “You are advising responsible honest people who have worked hard, saved all their lives… to scale down their retirement dreams because a one person has decided to destroy the US economy. Why not write an article about how to get rid of the real problem?”
How to Protect Your Retirement Savings Now as Markets Plunge
If you’re within five years of retiring, either before or after, you’re at your most vulnerable financially. Here are steps to weather the volatility.

Same.
I am a ho for Bong Joon-ho and I hope they keep giving this man large amounts of money to make uniquely engrossing movies that remind humans about the dangers of illusive class systems, the preciousness of life, and to stop being idiots in general. #Mickey17

Not watching the Super Bowl, but staying plugged in to Blue Sky for the Boo-meter. Hoping for updates.

Instead of supporting the Super Bowl with Trump on deck, I’ll be binging episodes of The Good Place, a show about morals, ethics, and helping other people. What are you doing instead?

Lonely Flowers is genius. @roywoodjr.bsky.social is a master of weaving thought provoking material with unmitigated humor, and when he threads this needle through the importance of connection, you can’t help but feel seen and challenged at the same time. True talent. Give it a watch on Hulu.

Thinking of my friends in federal jobs and hoping they survive Trump’s bullshit cuts to keep fighting from the inside.

Chose to focus on love today. Officiating a wedding this wknd so I lost myself in practicing the script over and over.

The ability to love is the very best part of our humanity and I stand by it as the answer to the next 4 years.

Just experienced A Complete Unknown. What a timely reminder that art is the answer to a lot of the questions.

Norton, Fanning, and Barbaro are absolute peak and yet still Chalamet transcends even further. A real, raw capture of a moment in time. 10/10.

It’s not too late to set boundaries for time with your family over the holidays. Whether it’s a time limit, a trigger moment, an outright refusal, or anything else in your heart, set those intentions now. Even if it’s just with yourself. Future you will be grateful.

Walked past a dude who looked like he didn’t have any hands just as he was saying “I mostly remember the nightmares”. 😳

…Turned out his hands were in his pockets and he was just talking about regular nightmares.
