Our community is small and have limited support networks. If you know a trans+ person who is a victim of abuse your presence is valuable. Make sure to listen to their experience but don’t suggest what they do or say. It could endanger them. Make sure to signpost them to a DA service

Don’t advise what they say and do - It could endanger them
Do signpost them to appropriate domestic abuse services (such as ours)
Do keep their information and experience confidential
Do listen without judgement respecting their wishes and needs
