I'm unfashionably late but...
Snowed In by Chloe Slate.

Short, spicy read.

My rating /5: ★★★
Oh, there’s a lil goat. 🥹
“I’m a Scorpio with an Aries moon.” 😭😭😭

Bless. This is so corny.
It’s called A Holiday I Do.
The vibes were off, so I decided to watch a presumably cheesy hallmark aligned sapphic holiday film.
The Demon To Your Right by Kelly Preston.

In short (re: character limit). This was quite the page turner (compliment). On more than one occasion I had to force myself to put this book down. Quite liked the author's writing style. Please be mindful of the content warnings.

My rating /5: ★★★★
Idk ma’am, maybe Rio Vidal is exceptionally Emily Dickinson coded.
I haven’t read the book but it has been living in my head rent free for a while because of the dang book cover. I’m not typically one to entertain the idea of a book solely based on its cover but this one seems to be an exception.
Chat, I cannot decide whether I will simply purchase myself a physical copy of The Witch and the Vampire by Francesca Flores, submit a suggestion for purchase form at a library or perhaps both. 🤔
It was such a great show! I miss it.
So few remember Alex Mack that I was concerned I had unintentionally gaslit myself into believing it was my favourite show when it didn't actually exist (thankfully, that wasn't the case though).
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst.

My rating /5: ★★★★
Damn near knocked myself tf out due to an ear-piercing siren jumpscare as someone got pulled over nearby.
Awake plotting silly little stories in my head that I’ll forget to write down and be mad about when I inevitably remember them within 12 hours to say 30 calendar years.
It had some decent enough scenes, had more promise than it delivered imo. From the feedback I saw, I expected it to be far worse. It wasn’t great by any means, but it was weirdly what I expected from a film with Chris Evans as a Reverend, idk.
How people can maintain a healthy sleep schedule with this level of heat and humidity is beyond my comprehension. Unless I’m the only human in existence who does not move their entire bedroom into the air conditioned room/s in the house for six calendar months.
That’s so valid!

Yeah, SA is something I struggle to read about myself so I get that. She’s a brilliant writer which means I must proceed with caution initially or her writing style will drag me in so fast that I’ll read my hard nope triggers before my brain catches up to what I just read.
Why must my eyelashes randomly decide to poke my eyeball? Rude.
Ah. Yeah, they tend to be quite dark and descriptive. So, it’s good to see if your reading mood meshes well with the vibe of the book itself. 🙂↕️
I LOVE Karin Slaughter’s books! Which one did you attempt to read?
