I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

A hotdog and pretzel stand with large hanging bottles of mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise. The bottoms contain squeeze tubes to dispense the condiments.

Its true. I bought a copy of an old book I'd already read for a friend (1920s travel). When it came in, lo and behold, it was chock-a-block with photos my original didn't have.

So I kept it and the original, ordered a 3rd copy.

Keep in mind that it takes effort to overcome societal programming. Grew up during the Cold War and wasn't taught to distinguish the USSR from its citizens, films like Red Dawn and Rambo didn't help either.

It wasn't until the travelling perestroika exhibition came to town that the light came on.

Don't be like that. There are plenty of folks who know about WW2 and why the Civil War was fought. My mother took me to Stone Mountain in GA when I was 10, and even though I was a petulant ignorant child I still didn't get why this pro-South monstrosity exists.

Let's be honest, it doesn't matter if AI has sentience according to our shaky standards. A nuclear bomb doesn't either, but it can still ruin your day.

We no longer live in an analog world, flip one switch and out go the lights.

The simple act of trying to evade is all the evidence we need.
