Watching Jeff Gerstmann play Battletoads and Double Dragon is just reminding me of those videos about that Traveler's Tale crunch guy explaining how Mickey Mania and Sonic 3D Blast were technical masterpieces that played like dogshit.

The nice thing about tabletop as a game designer is that when you have the ability to play your game as a player instead of a GM, you have a good view of the things overlooked when serving solely as a designer/GM.
