Can a modern train driver step into a steam locomotive and take the controls?

Jess is an expert in driving the high speed Azuma, and she had a Train Sim World crash course in Flying Scotsman, but now we’re putting her onto a real footplate at Stephenson Steam Railway 🚂

Great to be in Leeds today with Mayor Tracy Brabin, MPs Alex Sobel and Fabian Hamilton and Leeds City Council to launch our @lner.co.uk partnership with Beryl Bikes. Arrive by train and hire an e-bike to explore the city! Dock it when you've finished!

Thank you for letting us know this! We’ll pass this on to our station team!
To celebrate @railway200.bsky.social, we've challenged two LNER chefs to recreate three dishes from menus in the @railwaymuseum.bsky.social archives 🍽️

Customer service excellence is what everyone @lner.co.uk strives for day in, day out - so delighted for it to be recognised at the #nationalrailawards.

“Package For A Friend” - making period products available discreetly on trains and stations - is now being rolled out by other train operators.

Back in the UK, and I felt it'd be unseemly not to partake of @lner.co.uk's new menu.

Take it from me - the steak bavette is *gorgeous*. 😀

If you get a chance to enjoy 'steaks on a train', do!
Good luck to everyone taking part in the Great North Run! 🏃

A special mention for our LNER colleagues running to raise money for CALM this morning.

Please do check your journey home and leave plenty of time as Newcastle station may be busy.

Hello, we do expect customers to consider those around them when travelling. I sincerely apologise that this is not the case on your service. Please speak with the Train Manager or another member of the onboard team to see if they are able to have a quiet word with them, or make an announcement.
Thank you, I will get this reported. ^Katie
Hello Nairn, I'm really sorry to see that. Please could you let me know which service you was travelling on and the seat number, so I can get this addressed? If you would like to leave a formal complaint, you can do so here; spkl.io/63321A3xA3 ^Katie
Sorry to hear your experience is not up to standards. The Cafe Bar may not have opened Eat at Your Seat as the train has just started its journey. You may be able to access it after 11:30am, once things are moving properly. There is no information from the train that the service is not available
If you would like to submit a formal complaint, you can do so by emailing the team at [email protected], and the team will respond to you directly.
I will pass this on to the team to investigate, Alex. My apologies.
The LNER portion will be available to book. Alex, other operators usually release tickets 6-8 weeks before departure.
Hello Adam, we're sorry for any discomfort caused. If there are available seats you are free to move to a more comfortable seat. We'll log your feedback about the design. ^Charlene
Hello Wolfie, could you please DM some further information and I might be able to help you? ^Katie
I will feed this back to relevant team. Thanks for your feedback. ^Jay
Also, just so you’re aware, although you’ll be booking your tickets through LNER, the train itself will be run by another operator. For the latest updates as you get closer to travelling, please keep an eye on: spkl.io/63324AM3aA. Thanks ^Jay
