Thank you to @sdruk.bsky.social for a brilliant and thoughtful interview about our new study linking children's healthcare and with data from their homes.
Thanks for your support @joecuddeford.bsky.social and team!
The day has arrived! We are so excited to be welcoming a wealth of expertise to the Healthy Homes, Healthy Kids event at the Usher Institute in Edinburgh today.

We have 130 people registered from over 50 organisations to work out how to make our homes and our children as healthy as they can be.
Really looking forward to Switchee there as part of the conversation!

In the words of Jonathan Van-Tam, this new interdisciplinary network goes beyond traditional research to build community, impact, and hope to improve respiratory health for everyone in the UK.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the Centre for Applied Respiratory Research Innovation & Impact #CARRii at the House of Commons yesterday.
🫁 There are huge inequalities in respiratory health across the UK
🛑 Impact does NOT mean academic papers!
🚨 Every research project can and should be designed to inform policy and improve patient outcomes
YES! This is so lovely to see!

Children being welcomed at scientific conferences!

👏👶🔬🧑‍🔬

I'm really proud to be part of a society who are not just normalising but supporting #parents in #science to bring their children to conferences if they want to.

Well done ESPID - thank you for listening!
His daughter has set up a Just Giving page which to create a fund for the Renal Unit if anyone would like to donate.
The children's hospital in #Glasgow lost an amazing doctor recently.

Ian Ramage passed away suddenly and left a huge hole in the #renal team and the whole hospital. He was totally an incredible clinician with acerbic wit, huge warmth and loved by all.

For anyone working in #housing or #health who hasn't discovered them yet, the Healthy Homes Hub podcasts are fantastic!

Such accessible, engaging discussions from true experts.

They have become my go-to podcast for commuting! Thanks for a brilliant resource.

The world is awful. The world is much better. The world can be much better.

All three statements are true at the same time. Understanding this is key to solving big global problems.

We believe data & research can help us understand both the problems we face & the progress that’s possible. 🧵
