1st December prompt: Hysterical weeping for a cold cappuccino; “amor fati” - tragedy; fate.
On the first Sunday of December we worked like ants, anticipation, the joy of the season. Twinkling lights, tatty tinsel and decades-old baubles unboxed, scuffed but held with affection and joy. We worked together, pine-scent tweaking our noses, glasses of Baileys helping our work as we badly sang along to classic Christmas songs. Santa baby-it's cold outside, and all I want for Christmas is a wonderful Christmastime. We toiled into the evening, the darkness kept away by fairy lights untangled, tested, hiding broken bulbs at the back of the tree. We chose perfect spots for each decoration, sentimental taking pride of place with the heavy and the delicate carefully hooked over sturdy branches. The star was the last to be added to the top of the heaving tree. Precarious. We stood back to admire our handiwork and smiled. The next day the glow of the season had already drifted away, seeped out of the house, snuck under the door into the cold. I don't know how it happened, but my favourite glass decoration slid off its branch, crashed to the floor, and smashed into a thousand shard-like pieces. I wept hysterically, cutting my feet on glass snowflake upon snowflake upon snowflake.

The 9yo was singing Joy to the World because she learned it in the choir and I showed her The Simpsons Nelson Muntz's of it and she was CACKLING at it and I think she is going to sing it at school and I'm in trouble lol

Sharing the first cause I kind of like it even though it's sad
At the most wonderful time of the year your absence haunts me most keenly, so here's a little ghost story for Christmas: An evening full of joy and carols; Heavenly Father and Holy Ghost; beloved children meek and mild. And there I see you, spectre of a Christmas long-past - sitting me on your shoulder so l could put the angel atop the tree. How is it that families don't last.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, From Under the Cork Tree and The Black Parade all came out within about a 2 year period, what a time to be alive that was. Also, Black Parade is 20 next year. Lolololol. Dead.
