A couple weeks ago, I spent a day writing a few thousand words of a rather unserious sequel to last year's werewolf fic, lol. I added a bit more to the fic today, but since I'm still trying to take a break from writing, I'm not sure if I'll end up finishing it in time for Halloween 🐺

Still taking a break from writing, but I did poke at the mostly-written draft of Chapter 3 for “hard-edged, hard-earned” this weekend…I still need to rewrite some sections and edit/proofread, but it looks like I might manage to finish and post the chapter sometime in October.

I've been out of the loop and hadn't heard about the guidelines until now, so I'm not a great source of information—but some problems here are:
• Depictions of BDSM will be misinterpreted
• Bluesky is equating fictional content to real-world crimes
• Content moderation is very subjective

…the guidelines were originally introduced several months ago, and then Bluesky (deservedly) received a lot of negative feedback—so now they've slightly edited the new guidelines to make the wording clearer, but the underlying policies remain the same. (2/3)

It's more aimed at artists than writers, I think, but: Bluesky is implementing some community guidelines that are rather restrictive w/ how they require (fictional!) NSFW content to demonstrate that everything being portrayed is undeniably consensual. From what I understand… (1/3)

Kaveh turns to glare at Alhaitham, and Alhaitham stares back at him levelly—which only makes indignation boil hotter in Kaveh’s gut, even as his eyes drift to Alhaitham’s infuriating lips and start replaying that memory from this morning.

He knows what he saw. He’d watched as Alhaitham rounded his lips, took that banana far into his throat, and slowly dragged his mouth up the length, flicking his tongue at the tip. He’d seen Alhaitham start to repeat the motion, pausing with his eyes locked onto Kaveh’s—and then, with a half-lidded stare, he’d casually taken a bite and walked out of the room, brushing against Kaveh as he left.

Kaveh had been completely awake. And whatever the fuck Alhaitham was doing, it had been completely intentional.
