"A friendly reminder today, not all vets want your appreciation.

Some are traumatized, some are wounded, many are anti-military. Not all of them want to be reminded of the horrors they committed or seen. Please be respectful, it's not about how they make you feel." - Bill D.

OHA has the right idea here. We should give the military a nominal cost extension for 5-10 years and hope for a more favorable negotiating environment. People want this ended, not $1 billion to fuel Greenʻs liquid natural gas pipe dreams.

I'm Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian. Leaving this here after the typhoon Alaska just experienced, no one has gone to see the devastation and made a statement. It's winter, construction can't happen until summer. @shanahstone.bsky.social www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2025/10/25/e...

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.
