Congratulations y’all!

News of a child on the way should be a joy. For too many folks our age, it brings fear: how will we afford childcare? Do we have to move for schools? Can I take time from work?

It should be easier to fill out homes with children’s laughter than with handwringing and debt.

“Duma” means “thought” in Russian. In Trump’s America, Congress has abandoned both thought and backbone. Johnson’s House nods along as an autocrat seizes power.

This isn’t oversight, it's surrender.

We need to elect fighters for our country, not spectators to its downfall.

The best part of the night was @abigailspanberger.com saying that WSE is her opponent, not her enemy.

We have a vacuum of leadership in our country.

At a time when our president shows no interest in unity, we need a leader like Spanberger who actually wants to lower the temperature and unite us.

My mom came here from Soviet Russia, undocumented for years. She raised me alone, cleaning houses, caring for other people’s children, and doing whatever it took to keep us going.

We faced eviction. But Medicaid, public schools, and Pell Grants gave me a fair shot. (3/6)

I was born here 30 years ago, and I’m just as American as the descendants of the Mayflower.

Birthright citizenship is uniquely American: if you’re born here, you belong here. I’m glad to see that reaffirmed today.

For me, my husband, and many millions, it’s why we can proudly call America home.
