Publishing a book is when you’ve gone through the proof multiple times, approved the manuscript, and ordered giveaway copies, JUST to see the page numbers in your ToC (done automatically by the program used for formatting) are off.

Well! I was finally able to order a proof copy for paperback pre-order.
The caveat is the timing of printing, shipping, and approval processing of it--as in, the paperback might not hit pre-order at all.
At this rate, if the book is widely available by release date, then it's a win for me.
