This Wisconsin resident just voted for Susan Crawford—you know, the person for whom Elon Musk is NOT trying to buy a seat on the state Supreme Court. If you’re in Wisconsin, get yourself to the polls!

Well, now I’m definitely going to see this movie. 🎥
I doubt the makers of the new Bridget Jones movie intended Mark Darcy to serve as poignant metaphor for the passing of rules-based international order and dissolution of world that those of us who came of age in 1990s took for granted, but it kind of works on that level.
Is this going to be available on Zoom by any chance? I would love to see it!

I hope he holds strong. We’re about to see corporate censorship of journalism at its ugliest—even if it happens retrospectively.
The head of “60 Minutes” told the show’s staff on Monday that he would not apologize as part of any prospective settlement in a lawsuit brought by President Trump against CBS, according to people with knowledge of the remarks.

If this is true, this is one of the most disturbing things I’ve heard lately. It’s also a reminder that academia has long been entangled w/(and foundational to) racism in the United States. #AcademicSky
Well the award for most cowardly, boot-lickingest academic society has squarely gone to the American Society of Microbiology, who has taken down features of various non-white scientists. Absolutely pathetic behavior. Those articles are now coming up as “under review”. Truly sickening cowardice here.
Hahaha!! So true. #AcademicSky #PhdSky

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

Well of course faculty governance isn’t “working” for the fat cats who want all the power. Regent Sures (and his ilk) would probably also prefer to crown Trump the king of the world.
At today's University of California Regents meeting, Regent Sures told us "the concept of having faculty perform self governance, it's not working at all."

He said this in a convo about faculty due process in disciplinary actions, a bullet placed prominently on his desk.

This is the UC.
