UPDATE: Following the firing of the director of the student newspaper, Indiana University has now cut the print edition of the newspaper entirely.

Some people feel less God-breathed and more yanked out of the grave of Flannery O'Connor.
*SPOILERS*

I can think of no good reason for #PBS's #Victoria to kill off Nancy Skerret unless they were doing some sort of historically-accurate rendition, and even then no.

I'm going to need a minute.
Found a cool timeline that I thought was worth sharing:

A history of printing, and therefore a history of human progress.

In the wake of the BLS firing, here are the appropriate pages from #Orwell's #1984
In response to Brown v Board of Education, the Christian right built their own alternative structures. While this reality is not ideal ... Until we have a plan, we might want to preserve our knowledge by collaborating and setting up our own alt institution with a wide tent that others can join
And they say that research is useless 😶
Also, a lot of money is leaving the US permanently as the dollar is being devalued because of the rising BRIC coalition....
Honestly, I yearn for the time when we just...go back to the long form essay. A single long form essay. Over a semester.
If he pardons her, I really wonder how his base would react
The Heritage Foundation platformed 🍊 despite his well-known reputation. They were used to dealing with those sorts of problems. In politics. In religion.
We need to start looking at the GOP and fundies to see whether they are on any lists...
People keep blaming 🍊 for the GOP's ineffectiveness on #Epstein, but has anyone wondered if...they are on the list?

Such as, is the Heritage Foundation on the list?

Religious fundamentalism has a very bad track record with *cough cough* child abuse.
The fact that people are outing how deeply awful they are, in public, on Jubilee is ridiculous, but I suppose that's where we are now.
"...from the moment one leaves to others than the iudges ... the task of deciding whether the condemned man 'deserves' to be placed in semi-liberty or conditional liberty... one is handing over to them mechanisms of legal punishment to be used at their discretion..." #Foucault #DisciplineandPunish
GOOD! The best comparison I could think of this "bribe" was the Missouri Compromise, which did.not.end.well. #Murkowski
Indiana University-Bloomington has just cut ~20% of its degrees and programs.

At the same time, President Pamela Whitten, whom the faculty and student body VOTED OUT because of her incompetence, has just received 1) a contract extension, 2) raise to 900,000, 3) 200,000 bonus.
Indiana public colleges cut almost 20% of degrees
Public Indiana colleges and universities have eliminated 19 percent of their degree programs to meet requirements added to the state’s budget, according to the Commission for Higher Education.

My running theory is that the strikes against Iran were timed in order to ramp up the propaganda machine.
Either way they need to be replaced with younger, less corrupt talent.
