They talk about putting Democrats in “gas chambers,” attacking “Jews,” calling Black people “watermelon people,” calling to “rape” their enemies, and bringing back slavery.

What pieces of festering, stinking shit Trump—and whoever let him post this—are. I can’t believe this is what we’ve sunk to, although I know it is. If Schumer, Jeffries, et al don’t shout from every possible outlet that this is a GOP shutdown, I give up.

As someone who grew up with my Jewish grandma’s true story of a baby being smothered in a cellar in Belaya Tserkov, near Kiev, to save a number of people huddled there (including Grandma and her family) hiding from soldiers, this perspective makes the comparison crystal clear, Tom. Thank you.

I was a content writer before I retired. I feel this in every atom of my body. It’s why I’m glad I only do an occasional edit now. But it helped me appreciate writers who keep making beautiful tables, like Elie, even more.

I just finished reading this! What an absorbing story; I call this (jokingly) a bathroom book because you have to take it with you everywhere: waiting in line, to the bathroom, in the kitchen, etc. because you can’t stop reading. Thank you for writing it!
