A big lesson of the civil rights movement was that everyone has their own activism and we support each other. If you're a radical activist, you can draw fire away from peaceful protestors. If you're a pacifist and you see radicals fucking shit up, no you didn't. You didn't see a damn thing.

Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

But it is unsurprising that public figures which promote violent rhetoric; might become the victims of the violence they promote.
Antagonising people for exploitation doesn’t make you many friends.
