Going back to Mexico today where we’ve permanent residency. It’s a modern country with a female president and reproductive rights for women.
Today we've been sampling a little of what our hometown has to offer. For lunch we took advantage of a free Yelp experience at an underrated under-the-radar food truck. In the evening we'll attend a free screening of Bruce Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere courtesy of AARP Movies for Grownups.

With the way every day now is in the United States, scary Halloween seems a bit redundant.
He is an absolutely hideous person but I just don’t see the cult following
I wish there were some other announcers we could listen to during this game…the over-the-top admiration for the Dodgers is rather sickening. #WorldSeries #BeatLA
I don’t know if she is, but I sure as hell would. But you might be right.
What a racist f*ck this guy is. I wouldn't want my kids anywhere near this guy if I was his soon to be ex-wife.
Doing some conditioning for our upcoming trip to Hawaii by setting the alarm and getting up early so I can go to bed earlier and also walking at least 4 miles during the day. Those 8 am flights aren't easy and I have to be in shape for it.
as a society, we can never let Brad Paisley sing a World Series national anthem ever again
Looks like your wish may come true! 🤣🤣🤣
Good thing we’ve dinner plans this evening. I sure don’t want to watch much more of this World Series game. #BeatLA
Great thread. She articulates well what I've been thinking too.
Refusing to feed people while building a massive ballroom is a fast track to eat the rich. No pun intended.
I was just talking to a friend about this. And then how will this utterly corrupt SCOTUS twist and torture the law and allow him to do this completely unconstitutional thing? Because we all know they will…
“….potential ethical conflicts” 🙄
I still can't get my mind wrapped around the fact that private donations funded the destruction of the White House. On what planet is that in any way okay? Make it make sense!!!
well, that's awkward
Last night we attended this solo show at a local theater that is based on his real-life experiences growing up in a racist suburb in the Bay Area. This deeply personal story explored race, identity, and belonging with heart, humor, and insight. It was very thought provoking and we loved it.
The hubs recently renewed his CA DL/RealID and the motor voter registration was confusing and caused his ballot to be mailed to him. He's going to drop it off at the center but will need to re-register as an overseas voter.
Thanks. I DO NOT want to do that as I live in Mexico and typically vote from abroad. I just happen to be in CA for a few days this time.
Today we're going to a nearby voting center to cast our ballots for Prop 50. I'm registered as an overseas voter so I need to go in person and vote while the center is open today. I'm glad that option is available to me!
Why would you need to keep your wedding ring on in bed?...

And, re: that other thing, you'd be surprised what you can get in Jalisco. Ask your trusted neighbors or friends where to get them.
Has a much better ring to it, wouldn't you say?

This is the ad Donald Trump woke up furious about.

Would be a shame if it went viral.
….Although I do recall Kamala Harris saying that he’ll send the military against citizens who disagree with him.

Earplugs are your friend. I always have them ready.
Today I'm going to see an optometrist and get a COVID vaccine and flu shot. This evening we'll be surprising friends by attending their annual Day of the Dead party where, coincidentally, the hubs and I first met 21 years ago. It's so quiet here compared to our neighborhood in Mexico, I slept well.
