No CHINGUEN con que "Trafalgar" es novela: son cuentos. Nomás lo he leído como 3 veces y la última lleva un rato, pero si cada cuento es autoconclusivo (por mucho que estén semienlazados de modo exógeno), ¿de dónde novela? ¿Quién dice, Planeta 🤮? (Yo la quiero mucho a M, pero novela, por favor)

I swear. Writing is the only discipline where we make people feel like failures for practising. How many songs does a violinist learn that never wind up in recital? How many studies do painters do? Acting exercises. Tennis for fun.

I wrote seven novels before Someone You Can Build A Nest In. I didn't just throw away drafts. There are some eras of my life and spirit that will go unpublished.
And that's okay, because they helped me become the writer I am. They weren't failure. They were education.

I have heard so many newer writers—including extremely good ones!—bemoan that they think they're a failure because they might have to throw out a half-finished draft and start over.

Didn't knew 80% of this wonderous facts. If JRR Tolkien would have known this, you bet that orcs would have had hippos, not even armored, just literally angry, evil hippos. Also, Gimli would have killed one, maybe with Legolas help... Or Gandalf... Do I have to fanfic this?
