I just always assume I'm entirely right and all the rest are wrong. It simplifies things.

I know this is speaking from privilege but sometimes I would like if there were something like summer part-time jobs but for adults, as if spending 1 month working in an aquarium, a cinema, a bookstore, a garden, Idk.

If I'm not whimsical, explain why I love Disney, birds perch on my finger and why I'm being followed by an overly-insisting bee, ah. Exactly. You can't.

Best novels after the 1950s is easier than the best novels b. 1900s-1950s. My views:

1900s: The Wings of the Dove, Where Angels Fear to Tread, The Golden Bowl, The House of Mirth, The Buddenbrooks

1910s: Of Human Bondage, The Phantom of the Opera; Ethan Frome

(Disclaimer: I haven't read Joyce).

To me is wild to meet again the people from my childhood who believed that yoga, astrology, tarot, Harry Potter, Baudelaire are satanic. I truly believed this archetype died out (and these ladies are even younger than my parents). Not sure what to make of it.

Given that many women and men will likely remain single, I will be investing in Paradox games and weighted blankets and call it a day.

My only comment on the Epstein revelations:

the crisis of trust is severe and affects both right and left. Given that trust and justice are necessary for our political system to function, a technical and open committee should be formed and charges brought against anyone rich and powerful.

There are 2 questions used as "caught you" w/ me:

1. What's your profession? Asked by men who want to prove my job is one of these "bs jobs" and therefore = women don't do things of value outside the home. They universally shut up after I tell them I'm a MD.

2. "But what makes you a conservative"

I have commented that there is no long academic history of the US by state. This also happens in other subjects: in general there are no long detailed academic works on periods: for ex., the Victorian era cultural & social history, same with a history of Germany in the 19th c.

I really like to organize my bookmarks on a Friday afternoon. I don't care how uncool it is. I will be reading in an orderly fashion while you savages will be doing that horrible chaotic approach.

You know what would make you feel better? Hanging a lot of art in the walls. That wall over there looks way too bare, trust me on this.

There should be a state program to make life more like university: yes, this may sound pathetic/weird but if you think about it many people go around life without structure and goals and there is a lose of human potential there.

There are many areas where we lack long academic books. Surprising but there are no good books on:

• history of the USA by state (look it up)
• a long academic cultural and social history of the Victorian era
• a long academic cultural and social history of Germany in the 19th century

My favourite aspect of children is how we have to teach them that messed up thing we do is actually entirely normal and no, we are not looking for any solutions 😌.
