I am very honored to be included in this year’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film from @filmmakermagazine.com.web.brid.gy I talked a bit about my career, the process of making my films, my upcoming feature ‘Fractais Tropicais’, and two feature films I am currently developing.

Excited to share that I am one of the fellows of the Fall 2025 @macdowell1907.bsky.social and I will be heading there in a few days to spend a full month working on the writing, development, and world-making aspects of two features I have been working on.

AMERIKA’ATINGA, one of the features I am currently writing, is beginning its development journey at the Locarno Residency at Locarno FF

Very excited to share this project with others and invite them to see little glimpses of the world I am building.

The homogenization of cinematic language!! A VOD and distributor’s dream! The dangerous slow death of auteurs….

If you’re attending IFFR or writing from screeners: don’t sleep on Leonardo Pirondi’s Adrift Potentials, my favorite new work from 2024 so far.

Also films by Elena Duque, Elias Bötticher, Mike Stoltz, Syd Farrington, Ivan Faktor, Sam Drake, Adam Piron, Eva Giolo, Ana Hušman…
