I seriously doubt that. I think she just sees which way the wind is blowing. She’s not going to be the last rat to flee the sinking ship because she wants to get re-elected.

She’ll still vote for everything Trump wants, I’m sure. She’s just going to ‘look’ like she’s fighting back in the meantime.

This maybe a crazy theory, but hear me out. Trump seems very fixated on blowing boats up in the Caribbean right now, like a baby who’s been given an iPad playing The Teletubbies. Do you think the military brass are allowing this to distract him from blowing up something far worse, like say Portland?

I think they will, yes. At the very least, republicans are paying attention, particularly at the state and local level.

You can’t just ignore millions of people protesting on a single day. The GOP is more convinced than ever they’re going to get blown out in the midterms, too.

Anecdotally, I’m hearing the same things from some Republican staffers. Nobody wants to be the last one to come out as anti-pedophile, but they also don’t have the courage to be first.

I ALSO heard that the GOP was going to push back on Trump stealing their power, and we all saw how that went.

What is Hegseth hiding/thinking? This media stunt was just plain stupid. Even Fox News wouldn’t go along with this. Did they not expect as many to walk out? It won’t stop the press from reaching out to sources. What was the point if not to try and hide something or look really stupid trying to flex?
