The film is great and, apart from a toning down of some of the overtly sexual aspects, is pretty faithful to Matheson's own novel on which he based his screenplay.

Great review Jim. The Fog (50? Really???) was my first introduction to James Herbert, when, at about 12yo, I decided it was about time I read 'grown-up' books. Needless to say, it stayed with me, as did my love of Herbert.
