The regime fired everyone involved in the funding and administration of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

They’re letting measles and other infectious and disabling diseases run rampant, and then removing disability support.

It’s eugenics and they aren’t even hiding it.

Learned about @libro.fm at ALA annual— it’s an audiobook app where you pick your fav indie bookstore and the audiobooks you buy support them. Putting my money in better places is at least somewhat in my control, and I need that when so much else is out my control.

Stop thinking in binary when it comes to your response(s) to early signals of workplace harm. You can give the offender grace AND document their behavior. The grace may leave -- and your record will remain.

I made some free printable bookmarks for you to use in any Banned Books Week displays/programs/etc you may have. They're meant to give folks *action items* to take with them beyond that single week.

$14 million dollars allocated to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) was pushed through to the America 250 team to fund "Freedom Trucks"–propaganda telling a whitewashed version of history.

What's happening at IMLS is beyond budgetary concerns.

Wait, can I see a copy of your letter? My letter said 23 got accepted.
Please join me in calling on CHPL to uphold intellectual freedom, reject censorship, and be transparent with the community.

Respectful comments and public participation are needed—your voice matters.

Let’s make sure our library lives up to its promise of inclusion and access for ALL. #censorship
Here are the key questions the Board must answer:
Who gave the directive to suppress Pride displays?

Does it reflect CHPL’s official policy?

Is this what we should expect every budget?
👉 The next CHPL Board of Trustees meeting is October 14, 2025 at 4:30 pm at the Blue Ash Branch Library.

You can attend in person and sign up to speak.

Or you can send written comments to the Clerk of the Board if you can’t be there.
It’s a betrayal of the community’s trust and of CHPL’s supposed values of inclusivity and intellectual freedom. If the library caves to political pressure behind closed doors, what else will they compromise?
But internal transcripts (released through a public records request) show that CHPL leadership privately told staff to suppress Pride displays in children’s and teen areas—doing exactly what they claimed to be fighting against.
This is more than a mistake.
Sharing on behalf of some folks who asked me to:
The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) publicly opposed the state’s proposal to segregate LGBTQIA+ materials, calling it unconstitutional and harmful. #chpl
