Went to a No Kings protest with my mom. Very encouraged by the size of the crowd and the numbers of cars who honked as they drove by.

Found the thing that will make me give up my grudge against Apple.
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

My Fair Lady

My mother made my sister and me watch it whenever our accents were a little too Tennessee twangy for her Georgia ears.

Highly recommend the public library as a place where young teens can hang out without parental supervision.
I think kids should not be constantly watched by their parents all the time, with the amount of supervision decreasing as the kid ages.

Apparently some people find this bizarre and think that parents should know everything a 15 year old does.

$107,174,260 stolen from Indiana's education system.
It's $162 million stolen from New Jersey.
The Trump administration is currently holding hostage nearly $7B in federal funding for K-12 schools--funding that was supposed to be distributed yesterday.

They've stolen $80M from Wisconsin students and teachers alone. How much have they stolen from your state?

I'm still processing my thoughts after reading this article, so my only comment right now is that you should read it.
Meet the mothers who, amid the chaos and aftermath of Hurricane Helene, found ways to care for their children, their neighbors, and each other. This is a story about survival, mutual aid, and what it means to raise children in an age of climate collapse. bittersoutherner.com/2025/issue-1...
