Birder; botanist; artist; musician and poet...
We went to Old Moor yday for a commemoration of the first hide we built 50 years ago, Dave Standing's wife Maureen had written a poem read out by Jeff lunn that she wrote in 1992 about the trips he and his birdwatching mates used to make every Saturday for years, moving - I was well impressed.

I would like to thank Dave Waddington and Spike for putting on a great event, remembering the 50 year anniversary of the erection of the first hide at Wath Ings (Old Moor). Great to see old friends and others there.
The photographs of the old birders were great to revisit.

THANK YOU.

As I'm planning next years field season, I wonder if anyone on here would like to run a small island project on Skúvoy with me. I will be catching and samling great skuas, but there will be good opportunities to investigate other aspects of seabird island ecology 🌍🧪 #seabirds

Chancellor Rachel Reeves hints at welfare cuts.

Why do govts not cut corporate welfare?

Subsidies for auto, steel, oil, gas, biomass, internet, shipbuilding and others, without any equity stake.

Profiteering by energy, water, phone, house builders, care home, dental care companies.
