I don't care for the media corruption theory behind school violence. Remember Tipper Gore? At best, we see correlations, but this update from David Riedman is alarming. Check up on your kids' Roblox worlds. k12ssdb.substack.com/p/are-your-k...
Are your kids spending hours with random adults online?
Roblox is an online playground where kids can create virtual worlds...but adults are also making content and grooming pre-teens into school shooters inside a virtual Columbine High.

Just over an hour after 3 Supreme Court justices warned that Alabamian Anthony Boyd would suffer psychological torture, he was subjected to the longest nitrogen gas execution in US history, gasping for air more than 225 times. Read my eyewitness account: www.treadbylee.com/p/after-just...
After justices warned of prolonged suffocation, Alabama subjected Anthony Boyd to the longest nitrogen execution in U.S. history.
Boyd was the chairman of Project Hope, a death row-led nonprofit. Its members are left reeling in the wake of their leader's suffocation execution.

I've got a bit of a hobby of digging up the pleadings in these cases and trying to figure out what went wrong. This piece does a great job of showing how often time pressure contributes (and how often people blame their subordinates). I always wish courts pushed attorneys to give more detail.
Spent many (many!) hours pulling legal explanations and apologies from lawyers who were caught using AI that hallucinated in which they explained to a judge why they used AI. The explanations are astonishing and extremely good:

We cannot celebrate political violence toward either side of the spectrum. However, when you propagate hate, indoctrinating kids on campuses to hate, you invite abuse of the second amendment right that you championed. Concealed carry campus. No security. Tragic on so many levels.
