Piece ended up being Erlkönig by Franz Schubert. It was an orchestral arrangement and was only playing faintly in the background. I had to turn the audio way up to hear anything more than the melody. It was weird hearing it outside the normal voice and piano.

Last night I started a new anime to fall asleep to. The soundtrack started playing a familiar piece of music in the background. Watched a second episode trying to figure out what piece it was. Watched two more episodes just to listen to it more.

What?!?! The EPA has drafted a plan to eliminate all pollution controls from coal and gas-fired power plants. The agency claims these plants “do not contribute significantly” to dangerous pollution or climate change, arguing their emissions are a small and declining share of global totals.

I am mortified. There are more videos and stories every day. It is hard to believe this is happening in the US. Why are we letting this happen? Unmarked and unidentified ICE agents make it all the more terrifying.
