I have 4 sisters and a brother, so I was lucky enough to be born with a built-in ride or die crew. As a middle child, they were my first and truest friends. Nothing in life could have prepared me for how much my heart would miss them as we've grown up and built our own beautiful, separate lives.

A Fox presenter called for the 🪦 of homeless people & nothing happened. Certain outlets often make awful remarks about children and marginalized people who are victims of violence, but nothing happens. Jimmy K points out the hypocrisy of this reaction, and now free speech is no longer protected.

Providing a platform to black women isn't the same as offering sponsorship or opportunities. Yes, you may put us in front of leadership; we will be praised and receive moderate compensation. We will lead the charge, but never get the rewards. After a while, we will feel used.

One thing I've come to understand is that you can excel at your job—be truly skilled, respected, and accomplished—yet still feel lost, unfulfilled, or incomplete. If you're a lead encourage those around you to explore new opportunities, hobbies, embrace the unknow. Happy Friday and turn off your 💻
