and those expectations are internalized but are absolutely there…and the fact that the only time edelgard is proven right about the lack of agency she actually has under twsitd is in one of dimitri’s routes is something that should be read into more. like she quite literally loses her mind in AG lol

i don’t think it’s crazy to say that the prince of a country obsessed with chivalry and the idea of dying for their king has certain expectations of the girl he’s spent years idealizing who, in his mind, already lacks agency and turns on her the moment her actions don’t align with his idea of her

a certain song by a certain pop star has made me think about anime hamlet again and at the risk of being booed off stage. seeing people try analyze dimitri and hamlet’s parallels and talk circles around who his ophelia is is so funny. we can admit that it’s edelgard. we can be adults about this.

Lots of us have great-grandparents names who were absolutely changed when they came here, and when people say otherwise, they're assuming your great-grandparents name was in the Roman alphabet.

honestly claude’s endings are v nothingburger, half his m/f endings are some form of “he took her to meet his parents and they said sure she can be queen and they lived happily ever after.” which you could say is part of his character to be evasive or that the game just tragically underwrote him
