The two-game suspension for Steelers WR DK Metcalf has been upheld by an appeals officer jointly appointed by the NFL and NFLPA.

Metcalf is out for the rest of the regular season and sees $45M in future guarantees voided, including $25M that was fully guaranteed for 2026.

while a small hall vote is one i approve of, i prefer a larger one. bat at least it's coherent. which blank votes are inherently not
Ballot #46 is from Josh Dubow. No adds or drops for returnees and no first-year candidates selected. His five holdovers are the five returning candidates who received the most total votes in the 2025 election

My favorite historical costume designer is Sandy Powell, and she has an amazing trick that it took me years to realize: Be conservative with color and lean into modern shapes with your hero, and put your villain in the most outrageously period-specific costume you can.

things that happened to me in HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: broke a collarbone, tip of shoulder, scapula, and put a hole in a growth plate
and then: fractured fibula, cracked knee cap, fractured vertebrae
only thing that made me stop was i graduated and wasn't good enough
what’s the most mundane thing in football that’d hurt you enough to get you to stop playing. i’m not catching a single one of those passes, no thank you.
people talk about the pain of stuff like hits in football but ALL that stuff hurts. have you ever dived fully extended onto cold ground without bracing yourself? probably not because that’d be a really stupid thing to do without compensation.
