That, I think, is to agree with an important point Eric makes here, that "You cannot debate authoritarians into submission when language itself is treated as a game without stakes." But exactly the point of shaming (and, much more importantly, strikes!) is to put some stakes back in.

i am back in a college classroom this semester after several semesters away. i thought i'd share some pro tips that make my writing classroom so great.
1) don't penalize for lateness
2) you can't catch LLM stuff, there's no point trying, but you can vigorously shame anyone who uses it
