Six years ago I quit a full-time career position and became self-employed again, mostly so I could control my time enough to write. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Something I learned from Ken Burns's documentary about the American Revolution was just how committed George Washington was to slavery and the taking of Native American land.

I see The Galway Review has been de-listed by lit magazine search websites for unethical practices. I've been published by them a couple of times. The last time left me feeling manipulated. They had some good poetry on their site however so I went ahead. Now I have to say I regret it.

An underappreciated #Bowie song for its background-strangeness and hooks is TVC15. Some of the piano and sax are reminiscent of Diamond Dogs.

For my mental health I've been playing a retro video game called Vampire Survivors. So much fun. Cost maybe $3. Run around a flat screen trying to stay away from bats, vampires, and skeletons. Start with a whip and go from there.
