Glad you had a great time and welcome home.
There have been changes made but only once was there this level of destruction, when the British army set it on fire in 1814. Both times by a tyrant.
It looks even worse by video 😢
The day is starting off nicely. Hope yours is too

Do we have the Congress overdight??
Nope.

Do we have the DOJ?
Not so much.

Do we have our vote?
Not quite sure.

What we still have is the power of our wallet.

Nationwide Strike.
Shut down the engine that drives this destruction.

We control the economy.
Know that.

If it wasn’t for the many protests educating the general public over the VietNam war, we would’ve stayed in that destructive mess for more years.
So please keep marching, keep chanting and keep the conversations that keep us fired up and engaged however we can.
(Pt 2) Hearts and minds must be made aware of inequalities so they will then support and vote for our causes.
We also hit the streets to show that we the people don’t approve of this regime is doing and that in spite of our current corrupt government we as Americans still believe in democracy.
If you are doubting the power of protesting, look no further than human rights movements of the last 150 years for answers. The suffragettes picketing, the civil rights movement marching, the Queer rights struggle. All of these and more were for educating the policy makers but especially the public.
