So happy to finally introduce a super cool tool I made for @sprk.so:
Airport ✈️
It makes AT Protocol migrations between PDS servers available to anyone with a simple web interface.

Check it out at atpairport.com
Star it on Github at github.com/knotbin/airport
Airport
Airport is an AT Protocol PDS Migration Tool that allows you to seamlessly migrate your account from one PDS to another.

vs code copilot is like as if they neutered all the models lmao. only thing it's half decent at is code review
even if you have .edu its only for certain universities
it sucks because copilot is free for students but its absolutely dogshit. you'll give it a problem and it'll be like "you might want to investigate these areas"
cursor: you can run three different agents at the same time. your bank account will be drained after trying it for 3 seconds.

meanwhile copilot in vs code:
using an llm to convert a sentance to uppercase is a new level of monstrosity. the fact their takeaway was to use a smaller model is a real sign of the times.

Some devs are leaning a bit too hard on AI for solutions and workflow.

In my latest video I show a few examples and give some advice on what to do / use instead.

we really need atproto version of shiptalkers.dev with the option to compare bsky posts to @tangled.org or github
why arent people at least cautiously superstitious smh
shutupshutupshutupshutupshutup
pls release it this looks so good
The locals pronounce it ${country}
i explain what i mean in this thread.
Deno > bun purely for the fact that Deno has principles, a vision for the future of JavaScript, and are cooperative with the WHOLE ecosystem. Things like JSR show how that pays off.
I’ve constantly seen bun be unnecessarily hostile and dickish towards others in the ecosystem particularly Deno.
wdym? you wouldn't need atproto.
you could make this as a browser extension like grammarly.
the replies on that post are exactly why this is needed
some people need to be put on social neighborhood watch
completely optional and separated AI features are available with a canva subscription, so they're not making money through user data collection. the incentives are very well aligned to make affinity very user-friendly imo
side-note: I really love the fact that the affinity.studio landing page has a "reduce motion" button that turns off animations and just makes it a static scrollable page. crazy scroll animations have significantly degraded accessibility on the web (& browser compat) and options like this are great.
affinity is such an amazing adobe alternative. i've always loved them but they've always been an underdog. now that the entire suite is available completely FREE, i think it could be a real chance to challenge adobe's monopoly.
affinity.studio
They have much less of a vision for the future of js, thus they’ve gone all out on implementing non web standard apis.
A big thing I love about Deno is the security and the fact that it’s a complete toolkit, with a type checker, linter and formatter built in. All built in rust.
i would say use @deno.land (which still applies) but for building i dont see why you wouldn't use vite
they get to keep the version they paid for and continued support :)
As someone who paid for version 2, i'm very happy with the new version.
