I'm not a lawyer of course but in my personal opinion hard to see how an order to deliberate kill survivors squares with the Law of Armed Conflict, as the generals receiving this order would also have known

I spent my Thanksgiving watching The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship… Two Towers and Return of the King. (And, cried at the end. Again.) It was a good reminder that there are people and things worth fighting for. Always. And courage is contagious. And to look up for spiders…. Just in case. 💜

Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.
