As for lighting I usually let the environment do most of the work, or 2 or 3-point lighting. Use it hand in hand with shaders. Sometimes applying a shader first and lighting in favor of that is the best, I have a few presets I'm fond of. Ktisis lights are a game changer, I'm enjoying learning those!

Aah ty! 🫶 I like to use the whole face, especially eyebrows, because of the elezen ಠ_ಠ default. Nothing exists in a vacuum so use it all, extend a smile to the eyes/cheeks. Mostly position, be very subtle with rotation, its easy to overdo! Use a mirror to see how parts move together in a natural way

Once I find the right environment, usually about 2 hours per humanoid actor, maybe more if it needs more than color adjustment and neck seam smoothing in post. Most inspiration is from an outfit I'd like to try, or an interesting pose, especially something in motion! Dancing is one of my favorites 🥹
