Very interesting story from Robert Peston on Twitter.

It sounds like Labour very deliberately engineered a series of artificial, unnecessary storms in teacups in advance of the budget.

In a follow-up tweet, he mentioned that the beginnings of an official investigation are under way.

Rutger Bregman said that the line BBC removed from his Reith Lecture broadcast was: "Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

So even UK media is now under Trump/ Putin control?

Chilling.

This is a genuine question: Outside of the UK, does anyone know of another National Park where it is an annual event to release thousands of non-native birds? Or even occasionally? I only ask because the more I think about it, the more barking mad it sounds. #birds #nationalparks

I remember when this English paper joined with all the other papers, and the broadcast media, to tell us that the Scottish Government should not interfere with Westminster’s exemplary handling of the pandemic.

The phrase “get back in their box” was used.

Independence would give our government all the powers to address this ludicrous situation.

It’s not the substance that counts for the Record, it’s the accusation.

Disgracefully, the pandemic was treated as a political story rather than a health issue by all the papers and the broadcast media, with the BBC leading the charge.

The aim, as ever, talk up Westminster, talk down Holyrood.
