I started reading a book because it had a pretty cover and interesting concept, but I could tell from the first page I didn't like how it was written. I have read the first two chapters now and still don't like how it's written, should I give up or should I commit to finishing it?

Cozy mystery world building is interesting, it's like the idealized fantasy of small town life: leisurely lifestyle, strong community, lots of festivals picnics etc. The only payoff is you have the highest murder per capita rates in the world.
