that’s such a fair take, and totally understandable. I also don’t really like the color scheme changes, it may not affect me personally, but I can definitely see how it can be damaging to some, and I wish they had taken that into consideration.

If you want to write, then write it yourself or at least hire a ghostwriter.

If you want to draw, then draw it or pay an artist if you can't.

Yes, exactly. It sucks, because I miss those people and memories, but looking back on it and how I was treated, it’s for the better. now I try to only surround myself with those that are more understanding and kind, but sometimes, even kind people unfortunately can be rude like that unintentionally.

🥲 I try my best. I know how much it hurts to not feel heard, or maybe even talked over, so I try to be very careful + thoughtful with my responses to others. I always worry about saying the wrong thing, whether it’s a big deal to the other party or not. so thank you for this 🫂

same ugh.. 🫂 I try to do the whole “bully yourself before they bully you” with using words/names like vex, but it would still hurt like hell if someone else straight out called me annoying. I think the day someone here does, will probably be the day I deactivate for a bit to try to save myself 🥲

I am getting extremely tired of trying to have a conversation with someone irl and either just being blatantly ignored or they don’t even try to hide the fact that they stopped listening halfway through… I initially decided not to post this, but tonight’s the night. thank you guys so much. ily 🫶🫂

recently, it seems any time I speak irl, regardless who to or what it’s about, it either barely gets acknowledged/cared about or I’m looked at like I’m “doing too much”.

but here, at least one person always sees and acknowledges it. whether they relate, agree, or just simply want to show that they saw it, they do. there’s proof.

none of you ever make me feel like I’m “doing too much” or being “annoying”. fun fact: I absolutely despise that word. it was used against me by so many people I thought were “friends” as a kid.

my own family even did it. so much so, that it was bore into my head that I was simply just an annoying person. this changed me into a silent husk, and I isolated for YEARS because of it.

I try to “reclaim” the term by using Vex, because if I have to tolerate knowing that it’s all people tend to think of me, I’d prefer it to at least sound/look cooler.. lol.

but as I told my husband, recently, it’s felt like all those people from my past are right, I am an annoying person, and the people in my life irl have just only stopped calling it that because they know how it makes me feel.

I guess what I mean to say is, I’m attached to bluesky and the connections I’ve made here, because regardless of if they’re “true” connections or not, no one here makes me feel that way. I feel at home, safe around “my people”. like I could tell you guys whatever, and sure, a few may judge, but the majority will understand or at the very least not judge or ignore me for it.

to my mutuals, thank you all, for being so kind and welcoming. you’re all so sweet and understanding, and I appreciate that immensely. much love (white heart emoji)
