This is so true. I've found this to be true of run-of-the-mill sleazeballs and bullies I've dealt with, too: they can't conceive of others having different motivations or empathetic action. They assume others are always motivated by the same things that they are, and are just as duplicitous.

The US already tried reconciliation, after the Civil War. Rather than addressing the cancer within, everyone shook hands and pretended it was gone while in reality it simply metastasized in the shadows of Conservative ideology and bided its time. I agree that we shouldn't repeat that mistake.

Opened up the hive to check on the girls. Last inspect was a month ago, & they had NO food other than what I was feeding. (Summer swarm.) Foragers have been busy on a robust goldenrod bloom, but still something I did NOT expect was a honeybound colony in need of a fresh super! #beekeeping #honeybees
