In order to dispute the plausibility this hypothesis, one must explain how Thiel's argument in his 2007 lecture (gwern.net/doc/politics... • www.hoover.org/research/pet...), presented at a conference in honor of his mentor René Girard, in any way accords w/ his *earlier* founding of Palantir.
