Honestly, Elon Musk makes Winston Blackmore (Canadian fundamentalist Mormon leader, has over 150 children and many grandchildren) look like a helicopter parent. One of Blackmore's own older daughters said they don't get a lot of time with him but his Facebook posts will talk about his kids as ppl!
Musk has his "Legion", as he's a father capable of seeing his children as something other than useful things. He keeps them in a compound, presumably in private school, and acrimoniously and melodramatically ostracises any who escape. Is there ANY point of cult that Musk's "family" doesn't match?
