ICE tear gassed a bunch of children on Saturday. This was a massive escalation of force. They were shooting tear gas at the back of the crowd, it took these unmasked people maybe 3-5 minutes in the cloud of tear gas to escape in without trampling. www.theverge.com/policy/87278...

Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

Thank you 💜 Other than being really shaken, I'm completely okay. Mostly just feeling a lot of survivor's guilt over some of the people I saw but couldn't help more on my way out. There were a lot of older people with mobility aids. Their screams are really sticking with me.

Something I think about a lot: Simon, one of the disciples of Christ, had the moniker "the Zealot." He had to share space with a Jewish tax collector. I would give *anything* to be a fly on the wall for the political discussions that happened amongst Christ and the disciples!
