President Donald Trump’s proposed 2026 budget would eliminate all federal funding for Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center and the other eight regional climate science centers, which Congress began establishing in 2008.
Scientists warn federal funding cuts could undermine walleye recovery in Minnesota
The Trump administration froze grant money awarded to the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center in August and wants to cut its budget next year.

Suwannee bass is one of at least 14 species of black bass - though we’re still discovering new ones (news.uga.edu/new-bass-spe...). Members of this group are mainly native to North America east of the Rockies, but have been introduced globally due to their popularity as sport fish #25DaysofFishmas

My grandpa was the first person to introduce me to fish and fishing, and that eventually led me to a career in fisheries. I always enjoy any chance I get to take him fishing, and this giant bluegill he caught was the highlight from a trip a few years ago! #WorldFisheriesDay #52FishyFridays 🐟🐠🎣
