Just replayed the original Silent Hill 2 (via Enhanced Edition), and finally decided to decide how I feel about the remake, and got up to the Wood Side Apartments. Without deciding if this is good or bad yet, I will say, WOW it is absolutely NOT giving Silent Hill 2 (original) in any way

Just replayed the original Silent Hill 2 (via Enhanced Edition), and finally decided to decide how I feel about the remake, and got up to the Wood Side Apartments. Without deciding if this is good or bad yet, I will say, WOW it is absolutely NOT giving Silent Hill 2 (original) in any way

About halfway through Killer7 on Steam, which came out almost exactly half my lifetime ago. It is exactly the same experience today [positive]. Confidently unhinged. Every tiny detail perfectly wrong and upsetting.

Of all the causes I could have possibly guessed, the LA fires turning out to be deliberate arson by a man from Florida with AI psychosis was not high on that list
the city of los angeles burned in january in part because of a man who couldn’t stop generating images of burning cities on ChatGPT, and then after he lit the fire he asked if the fire he started was his fault

My parents for some reason got a can of Irn-Bru for the kids to try (they don’t really drink soda?), so I snuck a couple sips for Science. Good when cold, and then immediately vile when it’s no longer icy, which was fun to discover. Better than expected; still prefer Scotland’s other national drink

Sister-in-law is visiting and wanted to do some retro games, so we played the first Mario Party on N64. By the end of the game, my eight year old was absolutely livid and unresponsive, proving the game is timeless in its devastation

The beautiful IMMORTALITY: Design Works! It’s absolutely massive and features the full screenplay (all 400+ pages), as well as a wealth of interviews, that I’m very excited to read. I’m also interviewed in the book, and I am now immortalized (a-haaaah; sigh) in print calling the game “weird.”

"DEVO" the documentary is out on Netflix tomorrow, August 19th! It covers the band's history and messaging with a surreal, whimsical vibe that feels like a direct extension of their work. I had the pleasure of sound designing the film!

A friend sent me this, asking if this person, or @krotos.bsky.social had anything to do with Jurassic World Rebirth, the answer is NO, I have no idea why Krotos is seemingly running what may be a pretty misleading ad that sort of implies it. But to be clear, I do not use Krotos software EVER.
