Fairly opinionated about all three.

I had a lot of fun recording this. @yveshanoulle.bsky.social is a great interviewer.

Just listened to part 1.
This podcast episode is an absolutely brilliant take-down of the ludicrous AQ "test", which assumes autistics are all equivalent to small boys who like trains.

Bravo!
Get in, loser, we're taking the AQ together!

In this week's episode, we take everybody's favourite autism screening questionnaire - and, in true Daily Tism style, rip it to shreds.

Catch us from tomorrow morning on your favourite podcast platform!

@pickmypostcode.bsky.social I'm getting HTTPS protocol errors from your website today -- any idea why?

For those of you who, like me, have a mathematics or programming background: how do you interpret the choices on offer here?

Manchester Airport is a sensory nightmare for autistic people. Even with so-called assisted travel we're both close to meltdown now due to all the lights and noise and random busyness.

Actually, numbers can be irrational, perfect, etc.

So maybe I can just shout "PI" or "TWENTY-EIGHT" when I'm in those moods...
I love the idea of making a drawing to convey emotion!

I can't draw well, so I'm wondering how to use maths to achieve something similar 😄

Is there any connection or correlation between monotropism and alexithymia?

I have two tickets for sale: secure.ticketmaster.co.uk/rs/3E0060659....

These are to see Fish (ex Marillion) at the Glasgow O2 on Monday 10th March. This is Fish's last ever concert, the final date of his Road To The Isles tour, before he retires for good. Should be a very emotional evening!

Help me choose: Alexa or Google Home?

Our primary usage will be for podcasts (I currently use Pocketcasts and keep a queue of 5-10 ready for long drives) and Spotify (mostly family playlists). We have (currently) no home automation, but we'd like to change that in 2025.

So ... help me decide?

With thanks to those who get it right.

Fascinating 🧵
The Monotropism site houses an extensive archive of Dr Dinah Murray's writing about autism, neurodiversity and the nature of the mind.

Here is her 1992 paper for the Durham autism conference, where she introduced the idea of monotropism.
